Dr. Leo V. Carlson, DBA

Introduction

Dr. Carlson is a USAF veteran and time-tested leader with 23 years of operations, sales, marketing, IT and board experience. Dr. Carlson has 10+ years of experience as an adjunct professor of graduate and undergraduate programs. He currently serves as an adjunct professor for Maranatha Baptist University in the Master of Organizational Leadership program teaching primarily, communication, strategy, and leadership classes. Dr Carlson works full time as the Chief Sales & Marketing officer for one of the premier independent broadband providers in Wisconsin. His background in technology has helped him to develop cutting edge products and services as well as being active in community economic development and a key thought leader in the area for all things broadband. Dr. Carlson is also an active board member with local, state and national organizations in government, for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Among his top accomplishments as a board member are working with the Sawyer County/Lac Courte Oreilles Economic Development Corporation to attract new businesses to the county and his assistance in the creation of legislation to promote broadband certification and telecommunications capabilities throughout the state. He is consistently considered a top performer in his field and is regularly asked to participate and moderate panels on rural Broadband, economic development and technology.
